Adamawa State government has directed the Civil Service Commission to create a separate recruitment window specifically for National Certificate in Education (NCE) applicants in the ongoing recruitment into the state civil service.
The permanent secretary in the commission, Alhaji Abubakar Umar Maiha, disclosed this yesterday.
He said Governor Ahmadu Fintiri had directed the commission to create a separate recruitment window specifically tailored for their qualification.
The special window would focus on employment opportunities within the state’s Post-primary Schools Management Board, ensuring that suitably qualified NCE holders are not left out of the employment process.
He said, “The commission appreciates the patience and understanding of all applicants and remains committed to a transparent and inclusive recruitment process in line with the governor’s vision for equitable employment.”
Meanwhile, the commission has cleared 52,003 applicants out of the 96,102 that applied to proceed to the next phase of the employment process.
It outlined several reasons for disqualification to include mismatches between applicants’ fields of study and the qualifications required, age limits exceeded by some applicants, incorrect or incomplete document uploads, applications from individuals who are not indigenes of the state, and submissions from those already employed by local government councils.
