The Board of Trustees (BoT) and National Working Committee (NWC) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have warned Mr Bolaji Abdullahi to cease issuing press releases or making public statements in the name of the party.

The party leadership said any continued unauthorised use of the party’s name and logo would attract legal action.

In a statement signed by the party’s national chairman, Nafi’u Bala Gombe, and BoT secretary, Rufus Ikanmi, the leadership said if Abdullahi wishes to become a member of the ADC, he should follow the appropriate procedure by registering at his political ward in Kwara State.

The party warned that any further dealings, including lending, withdrawals, or transfers from the party’s accounts by such unauthorised persons, would be considered financial misconduct and economic sabotage.

The BoT and NWC stated that the party would take all necessary steps to protect its identity and interests, adding that it would not hesitate to pursue legal remedies if Abdullahi persists in the alleged actions.

According to the statement: “The African Democratic Congress remains a party for all Nigerians, and membership is open to everyone through the established registration process.

“The Board of Trustees (BOT) and National Working Committee (NWC) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have issued a formal notice to all Deposit Money Banks and other financial institutions in Nigeria.
