By Bukola Ogunsina
Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has opened up about key changes in his life, revealing that becoming a father of two has been the most transformative experience of his life.
In a heartfelt newsletter shared with fans, the singer reflected on his personal growth, career milestones and how quickly life can evolve.
“I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how quickly life can change without you even noticing it while it’s happening. One day you are praying quietly over dreams that still feel far away, and then suddenly you realize those same dreams are now your actual life,” he wrote.
Adekunle Gold said the past few months have brought significant progress and fulfilment, both personally and professionally.
“There’s been so much movement, so many wins, so much life that makes all the toiling worth it,” he added.
The singer also spoke about his latest project, ‘Formation’, describing the joy he still finds in creating music after years in the industry.
“There’s something beautiful about being able to make music that I enjoy after all these years. I love creating, I love hearing an idea come alive for the first time,” he said.
Reflecting on his upcoming orchestra shows across North America, Adekunle Gold recalled discussing his dream of performing with an orchestra years ago while at the home of fellow singer Asa before releasing his hit album ‘Afro Pop’.
He acknowledged the sacrifices and faith that shaped his journey, noting that many people did not witness the difficult years behind his success.
Despite his achievements in music, the singer said the biggest transformation has happened in his family life.
“I’m now a father of two,” he revealed, describing fatherhood as deeply fulfilling.
