Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke is devoting all his attentionĀ to due process and rule of law in the business of governance, the special adviser to the governor on legalĀ matters, Hon. Hashim Abioye, has declared.
Reacting to a statement credited to the national secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC) Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru on alleged abuse of due process by the Adeleke-led government, Abioye said the governor is committed toĀ due process and observance of procurement laws .
The governor’s aide in a statement released in Osogbo yesterday said Bashiru has perpetually and unceasingly embarked on verbal attacks on Governor Adeleke and his family, painting a false picture of the governor being under the influence of his family, especiallyĀ Mrs Dupe Adeleke-Sanni, the governor’s elder sister.
AbioyeĀ cautioned the Osogbo-born former lawmaker on alleged usage of vulgar language in addressing issues to respect his present office and offer constructive criticism in the best interest of the state.
“It is clear that Basiru was bitter at the peace and tranquillity that is reigning within the Adeleke family, hence his many unfounded allegations and vituperations at a governor who is delivering dividends of democracy to the people of Osun State,” Abioye said.
“While the man SRJ reserves the right to criticise Adeleke’s administration as a member of opposition in Osun State, he should for once be constructive and objective instead of his usual arrogant rigmarole.”
Abioye also stated that since the coming on board of Adeleke’s administration, the governor has not for once erred on the side of due process and rule of law.
