Team Nigeria Armed Forces continued their impressive runs at the ongoing 2nd Africa Military Games (AMGA) 2024 in Abuja, with remarkable feats at the shooting range of Shittu Alao Barrack, Keffi, wining 16 gold, nine silver and eight bronze medals.

With just four days to the end of the competition, the Nigerian Armed Forces shooting team triumphed in the men’s 200m rifle prone position, claiming both individual and team gold of the event.

Sergeant Moses of the Nigerian Army, competing on target 9, topped the field with an impressive 217 points, securing the gold medal. He led from the start, scoring 52 points in the opening round, and maintained his momentum throughout the competition as strong challenges from Tunisia’s Seif Azizi, who finished second with 208 points did not deter him, while Algeria’s Bennatia Kheireddine took third position with 204 points,

Nigeria pushed the bar higher in the team event, as Sergeant Moses combined well with Sergeant Alex Abakwa (155 points) and Stephen Thomas (201 points), both of the Nigerian Army, to clinch gold with a total of 575 points.
