Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, has said the party had been strengthened for victory in the forthcoming governorship election.
He described the recent reconciliation between Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and Chief Olusola Oke as a great achievemen in the history of the party.
Adetimehin said the reconciliation was necessary for the state’s progress ahead of the 2024 governorship election and disclosed that such a gallant move would solidify and unify the party.
The party chairman, speaking at a meeting with journalists in the state, commended Oke for his maturity and composure throughout the struggle.
Adetimehin said Oke, being a party man, has displayed genuine love for the party’s victory by collapsing his political structure for the progress of the party.
He assured supporters of Oke of unbiased treatment, saying they are all APC members.
He appealed to other aggrieved party members and aspirants not to move to other parties but to emulate Oke and remain in the APC.
Commenting on the party’s suspended members, Adetimehin announced that the suspension “is hereby lifted with immediate effect.”
He urged them to shun anti-party activities and join forces in moving the party forward, especially as they prepare for the governorship election slated for 16th November 2024.
The APC boss assured the people of the state that the present administration is ever ready to tackle the challenges facing the state and country at large.
