All Progressives Congress (APC) will hold a train-the-trainer workshop tomorrow to prepare for its planned nationwide electronic membership registration.

The APC national publicity secretary, Felix Morka, who disclosed this in a statement yesterday, said the workshop will take place at the Ladi Kwali Hall, Abuja Continental Hotel (former Sheraton Hotel).

He said the training workshop, to be formally opened by the APC national chairman, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, will have the minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, Chief Uche Nnaji, and the minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Bosun Tijani, as special guests of honour.

The APC national chairman recently said the party would adopt electronic registration as an innovation to capture its current membership strength.

“If you will recall, we had several 41 million members. But during the presidential election, we had only eight million. What happened to the rest? This is why we must be digital and ensure we work with the correct data.

“Another step that we have taken is reviewing our registration electronically now. The work has already started. You should be ready for all our members to be electronically registered so that we have an exact physical number,” Ganduje said.
