The APC Plateau State Forum, Abuja, has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Plateau State Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang for second terms ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement was announced yesterday during a press conference in Abuja by the forum’s chairman, Hon. Yakubu Pam Gam Sakondong.
Sakondong said the forum was satisfied with the leadership of President Tinubu, noting that the party had grown stronger under him.
“We wish to sincerely appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to strengthening the APC,” he said.
He added that the All Progressives Congress (APC) had witnessed improved inclusiveness and national appeal under the current leadership.
The forum also commended the party’s national chairman, Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, for reforms aimed at modernising the party.
“Since assuming office, Prof. Nentawe has introduced innovative reforms such as electronic registration of members and policies that promote youth, women and persons with disabilities inclusion,” he said.
He further praised the chairman’s reconciliation efforts and open-door policy, which he said had attracted new members into the party.
On the forthcoming national convention, the group lauded the decision of the APC National Executive Committee to zone the chairmanship to the North Central and Plateau State.
“This decision reflects fairness and recognition of the contributions of the zone to the party,” he stated.
The forum also hailed the party’s performance in the February 21, 2026 Area Council elections in the Federal Capital Territory, where the APC won five out of six councils.
Sakondong attributed the victory partly to the role played by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
“This achievement is a clear indication of renewed confidence of FCT residents in the leadership and direction of the party,” he said.
Reaffirming its position, the forum formally endorsed Tinubu and Mutfwang for re-election.
“APSFA unequivocally endorses President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang for second terms in office,” he said.
