APC Stakeholders Absolve LG Chairman Of N1.9bn Fraud

Stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Eti-Osa East Local Council Development Area have absolved the council chairman Mr.John Ogundare of allegation of misappropriating N1.9 billion.

The stakeholders who staged a protest at the Lagos State House of Assembly carried placards with different inscriptions and chanted solidarity songs in support of the chairman.

SLast Thursday, ome residents of Eti-Osa East LCDA staged a protest at the Assembly complex over the alleged misappropriation of N1.9 billion by Ogundare.

Leading the protesters, Mr Segun Williams, a resident, urged the Assembly to act urgently on the matter.

Rising in Ogundare’s defence, the APC stakeholders led by Mr. Olusoji Fagbuda said the protesters who came last Thursday were faceless groups without residency in the council.

“They are the people that are hungry and looking for survival  and they are coming out to protest making an unfounded allegations against our hardworking chairman, Mr John Ogundare.

 

 

 

“Those who alleged they should be able to prove it and even the councillors and supervisors have told us that every allegation against the chairman has been settled,’’ he said.
