The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State has called on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to adopt a more constructive approach to governance criticism rather than politicising issues.
The statement follows remarks made by the PDP urging the state’s governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, to reduce the cost of governance in their Independence Day message.
In a statement signed by the APC’s state public relations officer, Isah Abubakar Assallafi, the party emphasized the importance of unity and responsible governance in tackling the challenges facing Kebbi State.
Assallafi highlighted the governor’s strong commitment to prudent management of public resources and called for an end to baseless accusations and divisive rhetoric.
“Kebbi State needs a united front to address the issues we face, not hollow criticism aimed at creating division,” Assallafi said.
He added that the APC remains dedicated to serving the people of Kebbi and encouraged political actors to contribute positively to the state’s development.
As Nigeria celebrates its 64th Independence anniversary, the APC reiterated its commitment to the founding ideals of unity, integrity, and progress.
Assallafi urged the PDP to acknowledge the administration’s efforts and avoid distorting facts for political gain.
Governor Idris, according to the APC, has remained focused on delivering critical infrastructure projects and social welfare programmes aimed at improving the lives of Kebbi State residents.
“From road construction to educational reforms and agricultural development, this administration is ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach every corner of the state,” he said.
