I recently came across news of the upcoming Humanitarian Champion award to be conferred upon Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), by the International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA), a renowned international peace advocacy group.
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on August 20th, 2023, at the church headquarters in Port Harcourt, a day following the United Nations International Humanitarian Day. This recognition highlights the significant contributions of Apostle Chinyere to numerous families within and beyond the country’s borders, transcending linguistic and tribal boundaries.
Despite recent challenges, including a reported collapse at one of the country’s airports, Nigerians take immense pride in the announcement of this impending award for Apostle Chinyere.
This prestigious award will lead him to the United Nations, an eagerly welcomed development that is long overdue and is expected to result in global recognition from various international organizations.
The award is not just a personal triumph for Apostle Chinyere but also a testament to the positive impact he has had on women, children, students benefiting from overseas scholarships, and individuals rescued from criminal activities like armed robbery, cultism, and prostitution. It symbolizes the triumph of good over evil.
The association presenting this award, the International Association of World Peace Advocates, is composed of influential individuals from around the world, registered in over eighty countries, and includes world leaders, parliament members, and judiciary representatives. Notably, it holds a Special Consultative Status under the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), making this recognition truly significant.
Upon inquiring with the organizers via text message, the response highlighted Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere’s significant contributions to alleviating the suffering of the less privileged and called upon other religious leaders to follow his exemplary efforts in truly embodying Christ’s teachings.
As Nigerians eagerly anticipate this distinguished award, we are reminded that despite challenges from adversaries, our acts of kindness will ultimately prevail to the glory of God Almighty.
