Senator Ifeanyi Araraume has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the occasion of his 74th birthday, commending his leadership and sweeping reforms aimed at repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Araraume described the President as a courageous reformer who has demonstrated a willingness to confront long-standing structural challenges since assuming office.

He noted that Tinubu’s administration has been defined by bold decisions and far-reaching policies designed to stabilise the economy and lay the foundation for long-term national development.

The senator identified the removal of the petrol subsidy as one of the most consequential economic decisions in recent years, stating that it reflects the President’s resolve to redirect national resources toward infrastructure, social investment and broader development priorities.

He also praised the administration’s unification of the foreign exchange market and efforts to stabilise the macroeconomic environment, noting that such measures have helped restore investor confidence and strengthen Nigeria’s competitiveness in the global economy.

Araraume further highlighted progress in infrastructure and national development, citing renewed efforts to complete key road networks, expand rail connectivity and accelerate reforms in the power sector.

According to him, these initiatives demonstrate the administration’s commitment to improving citizens’ lives and enhancing productivity.

The lawmaker also acknowledged ongoing interventions in agriculture, including support for mechanisation and targeted programmes to boost food security, describing them as critical steps toward reducing import dependence and strengthening local production.

On the diplomatic front, he commended President Tinubu’s engagements across Africa and beyond, particularly his role in strengthening regional cooperation within the Economic Community of West African States and advancing Nigeria’s interests globally.

He wished the President good health, strength and wisdom as he continues to lead the country through what he described as a defining period in its history.
