The maiden edition of Ascend 360 Conference powered by Blaque Swann Legal Practitioners, engaged professionals, entrepreneurs and creatives in Lagos State to help participants build, protect and grow their personal and business ambitions.
The conference, held in Victoria Island, Lagos brought together distinguished line-up of speakers including Tomike Adeoye, Pastor Tunde Adisa, Mrs. Bukola Odoe, Babalola Ifeoluwa Isaac, Mr. Rotimi Toluhi, Jubril A. Gawat, Mr. Rotimi Tolu, Olushola Olaleye, among others.
The convener and Principal Partner of Blaque Swann Legal Practitioners, Barr. Titilope Adisa-Obafemi, in her opening address, said the conference was established to provide the clarity, structure and professional guidance needed to navigate today’s fast paced business environment.
Titilope explained that, Ascend 360 was conceived ‘as a place where ambition meets strategy,’ adding that, it would serve as a platform for impact, learning and long-term value creation.
“This is not just another gathering; it is a conference where impact meets intention. People often assume lawyers exist only to win cases, but we also have a responsibility to contribute to the system by equipping individuals with knowledge that helps them build and grow, “she stated.
She expressed appreciation to sponsors, partners and all participants for aligning with the vision.
Delivering a goodwill message, Alhaji Bashiru Adisa commended the organisers and expressed delight about the initiative, noting that, the conference would strengthen participants’ understanding of the legal and structural pillars required for sustainable progress.
He also praised the convener for championing a platform that blends professional guidance with real-life insights.
Taking the first session, Pastor Tunde Adisa of Daystar Christian Centre emphasised the need for individuals to build strong internal foundations anchored on faith, discipline and clarity of purpose. Drawing on biblical references, he said, many people struggle in life because they fail to identify who they are, what they represent and where they intend to go.
He outlined five principles for building a meaningful life, which are; esolving identity issues, discovering one’s purpose, growing spiritually, reassessing one’s position in life and developing grit.
According to him, life does not build itself, and individuals must be deliberate about the structures they create.
“We are all building our families, businesses and future,” he said. “A weak foundation collapses when life’s pressures appear. But with clarity and discipline, we can build something that did not exist before.”
In the second session, media personality, Tomike Adeoye discussed the realities of integrating motherhood with career demands. She spoke on the pressure and guilt often felt by mothers and encouraged women to prioritise their well-being while remaining committed to their professional aspirations.
Other sessions explored key topics such as business resilience, digital reputation, long-term growth strategies, partnerships and personal branding. Presentations were made by Barr. Titilope Adisa-Obafemi and the BSLP Team, Jubril A. Gawat, Mr. Rotimi Tolu, Mrs. Bukola Odoe, Olushola Olaleye, and a fireside panel featuring Damilola Adeyemi and Ebuka Chidube.
The closing keynote, delivered by Temidayo Adeyemi, head of Operations at Blaque Swann LP, focused on the need for adaptability and forward looking strategies in a changing global environment.
The organisers said the Ascend 360 Conference will become an annual platform for equipping Nigerians with the tools, insights and legal understanding required to thrive beyond limitations.
