Assets Sharing: Yobe, Borno Boundary Committees Meet On Leftover Properties

The Yobe State deputy governor, Hon Idi Barde Gubana alongside his Borno State counterpart, Dr. Umar Usman Kadafur, who are the chairmen of the boundary committees of the two states, have met in Maiduguri on some leftover assets for sharing.

A statement issued by the Press Secretary of the Deputy Governor, Hussaini Mai Suleh said the chairmen of the two committees accompanied by some technical officials met to discuss modalities towards sharing the left over assets.

The committees have after the creation of Yobe State 34 years ago shared assets and liabilities but later it was discovered that there are some left over assets to be shared by the two states.

The meeting, chaired by the two deputy governors took place at the conference room of the Deputy Governor of Borno state at the government house Maiduguri.

The Deputy Governors expressed satisfaction with the understanding and cordial working relationship that existed between the two States.

The Yobe State Deputy Governor was accompanied for the meeting by the state Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Bar. Saleh Samanja, Permanent Secretary Administration and General Service,
Abdulkarim Umar Suleiman and the Director General Bureau on public procurement Alh Saimaila Mai Adamu.

Other members of the team were the Managing Director Yobe investment company Ltd, Saidu Hamza, Housing Corporation Engr. Samaila Adamu, representative of YOGIS who is also the Director Land Administration, Abba Ibrahim Gaidam as well as Director Liaison Office Lagos, Yusuf Ibrahim.
