Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has approved the appointment of Alhaji Abdulwahab Mohammed, a former staff member of Hausa Service of the Voice of America (VOA), as his senior special assistant on Communications.
The appointment, which was announced in a press statement on Friday by the special adviser on media and publicity to the governor, Mukhtar Gidado, said the appointment takes immediate effect.
Described as a veteran broadcaster, Alhaji Abdulwahab Mohammed brings decades of experience in both national and international media to his new role.
“His appointment reflects Governor Bala Mohammed’s commitment to strengthening the state’s communication framework and enhancing government engagement with the public,” the statement read.
The statement added that Abdulwahab, known for his objectivity and dedication, is expected to play a pivotal role in projecting the state government’s policies and programmes, fostering public awareness and promoting good governance.
Governor Bala Mohammed congratulated the new appointee and urged him to bring his vast expertise to bear in advancing the administration’s vision of a more informed and inclusive society.
