Boniface returned to action last week after missing out for around three months due to an adductor injury.

The 23-year-old made two substitute appearances against Fortuna Dusseldorf and Union Berlin.
Alonso stated that the forward could make his first start of the year for the Bundesliga leaders in Thursday night’s UEFA Europa League clash with West Ham United.

“Adam Hlozek is injured from the weekend. Matej will play in goal. Boniface is fully fit to play, so he could be used from the start tomorrow,” the Spanish manager told a press conference.

The Nigeria international has registered four goals and one assist in five appearances for Die Werkself in the Europa League this season.
