Peter Folajimi Buraimoh, the Youth Progressive Party (YPP) House of Representatives candidate for Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government in the 2023 elections, has publicly commended Hon. Ibrahim Babajide Obanikoro (IBO), the Special Adviser on Monitoring Parastatals to the Lagos State Governor.
Buraimoh praised Obanikoro’s appointment, stating that the governor made an excellent choice in selecting him for the role.
In a statement released on Thursday, Buraimoh described Obanikoro as “the right man for the job,” highlighting his dedication and effectiveness in overseeing parastatals in the state.
He emphasized that Obanikoro’s leadership has brought significant improvements to the monitoring and evaluation of government agencies, ensuring greater accountability and efficiency.
Buraimoh’s commendation comes amid growing recognition of Obanikoro’s contributions to the Lagos State government.
He said ‘Since his appointment, Obanikoro has been instrumental in streamlining operations across various parastatals, ensuring they align with the state’s development goals. His efforts have reportedly led to increased transparency and better service delivery to residents.
The YPP candidate also noted that Obanikoro’s appointment reflects the governor’s commitment to selecting competent individuals for key positions.
“Governor Sanwo-Olu did not make a mistake in appointing Hon. Obanikoro,” Buraimoh said.
“His track record speaks for itself, and he has proven to be a valuable asset to the administration.”
Obanikoro, a seasoned politician and administrator, has previously held several public offices, earning a reputation for his diligence and integrity.
His current role involves overseeing the performance of state-owned agencies and ensuring they operate in line with government policies.
