CEIBS Africa Targets Stronger Business Collaboration With New Alumni Platform

China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) Africa has unveiled a new website for its Nigeria Alumni Chapter as part of efforts to strengthen business collaboration, mentorship and professional networking among its growing community of business leaders.

The platform was launched at the induction of new members into the Nigeria Alumni Chapter during a ceremony held in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event brought together alumni, business executives, entrepreneurs and graduates of the institution’s executive education programmes under the theme of developing responsible leaders and fostering stronger business ties between Africa and China.

Speaking at the event, President of the CEIBS Nigeria Alumni Chapter, Omoyemi Chukwurah, said the website would serve as a central hub for mentorship, collaboration, business introductions and continuous engagement among members.

Chukwurah, an alumna of the Owner Director Programme (ODP) and the Women Entrepreneurship and Leadership for Africa (WELA) programme, welcomed the newly inducted members and encouraged them to leverage the alumni network to expand business opportunities and partnerships.

Executive Director of CEIBS Africa, Prof. Gordon Adomdza, said the institution remains committed to equipping African business leaders with global perspectives by combining Western management practices with emerging innovations from the East.

“We aim to provide excellent executive education, helping participants understand global best practices while also exposing them to what comes next through a China lens,” he said.

According to him, the institution enables executives to combine Western and Eastern business perspectives, giving them a broader understanding of global markets and emerging technologies.

“A lot of today’s innovation and technology is coming from the East, and that gives executives more complete exposure to global business trends,” Adomdza added.

Also speaking, CEIBS Africa Country Manager for Nigeria, Saidat Lawal-Mohammed, described the institution’s programmes—including the Global Executive MBA (EMBA), Owner Director Programme (ODP), Advanced Management Programme and Women Entrepreneurship and Leadership for Africa (WELA)—as practical and designed to deliver immediate value to participants and their organisations.

“Unlike most other programmes, we encourage executives to apply what they learn immediately. You leave the classroom and can implement those lessons directly in your business to drive growth,” she said.

Lawal-Mohammed also announced that the WELA programme would be hosted in Abuja for the first time, enabling participants from the Federal Capital Territory and neighbouring states to attend classes without travelling to Lagos.

She noted that part of the programme would continue to be delivered at the institution’s Ghana campus, providing participants with access to wider African and international business networks.

CEIBS’ Global Executive MBA was ranked second in the world by the Financial Times in 2025, while its MBA programme has maintained the top position in Asia for 10 consecutive years. The institution has more than 33,000 alumni spread across 91 countries.

With the induction of new members and the launch of the alumni platform, the Nigeria Chapter is expected to deepen collaboration among members while strengthening connections with CEIBS’ networks across Africa, China and the rest of the world.
