CHAN Eagles striker Anthony Ijoma has completed a move to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Premier League side, FK Radnik Bijeljina, signing a landmark three-year contract with the club.
The former Abia Warriors forward was unveiled on Sunday to a warm reception from club officials and supporters. Ijoma enjoyed an impressive season with the Nigerian club, scoring 12 goals and providing four assists during the 2024/25 NPFL campaign.
His move to Bijeljina was initially scheduled for July, but national team duties at the just-concluded CHAN tournament, coupled with visa delays, pushed back his arrival.
Determined to hit the ground running, Ijoma has already set his sights on learning the local language and adapting quickly to Radnik’s playing style.
“It’s an opportunity for new challenges, and I will make the most of it,” the forward said confidently during his presentation.
Founded in 1945, FK Radnik Bijeljina boasts a strong history in Bosnian football, including winning the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup in 2016 and competing in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers.
His first significant tests are expected to come in upcoming fixtures against Borac Banja Luka and NK Široki Brijeg, where fans will be eager to see if the Nigerian can make an immediate impact.
