Chelsea Legend, Babayaro, Lauds Enoh’s Commitment To Sports Devt

Former Nigerian international and Chelsea legend, Celestine Babayaro, has applauded sports development minister, Senator John Owan-Enoh, for his efforts in garnering government support for the Super Eagles in the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.

He described the Minister’s efforts as a genuine empathy and respect towards the sports industry and its practitioners.

The Atlanta Olympics gold medalist, who also commended the Senator Enoh for his similar support to Nigeria’s senior women basketball team and reigning African champions, D’Tigress, said the genuine commitment and high qualities are important administrative elements necessary for the overall growth and development of sports in Nigeria.

Aside lauding the minister for his commitment and developmental policies, Babayaro urged Senator Enoh to continue his posture of forming partnerships with relevant stakeholders, particularly individuals and organizations with proven track records of excellence.

He said by doing so, the minister will further augment the progress of sports in Nigeria. “if Minister Enoh continues to make strides in this direction, history will certainly judge him favorably. The positive impact of Enoh’s support for the national teams in AFCON, as well as his dedication to the basketball team, has been duly recognized and appreciated by both players and fans alike.
