Chris Brown could see part of the money generated from his current tour with Usher redirected to settle a $13 million judgment awarded to his former housekeeper, Maria Avila.
The latest development came on Friday, August 21, when a Los Angeles judge approved Avila’s request to recover the money from Brown’s tour earnings and royalties. The singer is currently on the 2026 The R&B Tour with Usher, which recently expanded to 59 dates.
Court documents cited by TMZ showed that Brown had challenged Avila’s attempt to access his income, but the judge rejected his objection.
Avila’s claim relates to a 2020 incident at Brown’s Los Angeles home, where she was injured in a dog attack. A jury found Brown liable earlier this year and awarded Avila nearly $13 million.
Brown has denied wrongdoing in the case.
It is not yet known whether the singer will ask the court to reconsider the decision or appeal the ruling.
