The Christ Mercy Land Church has raised the alarm that some persons were attempting to destroy the image of the church’s founder, Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, through fake videos.
The members, who condemned the plot, said fake videos were being circulated to tarnish the image of the billionaire cleric.
Urging the public to be careful of the blackmail and the tactics of the promoters, the church said some people were already editing some videos of the cleric and circulating it to portray the man of God in a bad light.
Denouncing the videos, the church said the videos were manipulated and falsely portraying their spiritual leader.
They also released one of the original videos, which was doctored to reveal the stark contrast between the fabricated version and the truth.
They said enemies of Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin have taken it upon themselves to discredit him, resorting to deceptive measures to tarnish his reputation.
The followers were, however, insisting that the circulated videos were edited, manipulated, and misleading. They asserted that it does not accurately represent the Prophet’s teachings or actions.
They noted that their intention was to ensure that the public is not swayed by false information that seeks to undermine Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin’s significance and impact.
The church, therefore, urged Nigerians not to just  believe anything they see regarding the cleric but verify for the truth.
