The Resurrected Assembly (GROM) has raised the alarm about plots by some unidentified persons to tarnish the image of the church and the reputation of its leadership.

In a statement by the lead pastor of the church worldwide, Pastor Prize Felix Aluko, the church said its attention has been drawn to the activities of some mischief makers to discredit the church and its leadership through the spread of false and unsubstantiated allegations.

The statement reads: “We wish to blow the whistle as an early warning alert of the grandiose scheme being put together by some unscrupulous and disgruntled elements aimed at jeopardizing the reputation of the church, the pastors and leadership in the coming days and weeks.

“By the merit of what is beginning to unfold, there are plans to come up with false and unsubstantiated allegations in various forms against the church, particularly the pastors and leadership, without any evidential prove to back up such evil reports.

“Already, we are abreast of some other plans to plant fictitious stories in some mushroom media outlets aimed at discrediting the hard earned reputation the church has built over the years of its existence.

“It therefore, becomes preponderant that we alert the public of this demonic plan and to say that it will be imprudent and wicked to drag the name of the church through the mud just to satisfy some selfish and pecuniary interest.

“To the glory of God, since its existence decades ago, the church with branches worldwide, has remained steadfast in the advancement of the gospel of Christ and has not derailed into the path of dishonour neither has any of its members found wanting in moral rectitude through scandalous activities.

“The public is accordingly urged to disregard any of such evil allegations against the church, members and leadership whenever or wherever they rear their ugly heads.

“In the final analysis, the church will not hesitate to take any legal steps deemed necessary to protect its name, image and reputation of members against malicious attacks.
