Churchill Says Online Pressure Ruined Marriage With Rosy Meurer

Businessman and philanthropist Olakunle Churchill has continued to address the reported breakdown of his relationship with actress Rosy Meurer, claiming that online pressure played a major role in the crisis.

Hours after stating that there was no basis for Rosy to file for the dissolution of their marriage because they were never legally married, Churchill further opened up about the issues that affected their union.

He also shut down claims that Rosy stood by him during his public fallout with ex-wife, actress Tonto Dikeh, insisting that anyone could have done the same if she wasn’t in his life.

In a fresh statement, Churchill clarified that Rosy was never friends with Tonto and did not “snatch” another woman’s husband, stressing that the narrative was created by social media speculation.

“From the beginning, the major narrative pushed online was that she took someone else’s partner and was friends with that person. This is not true.

“She was never friends with Tonto, and Tonto herself never made such a claim before I met Rosy. These were purely online speculations,” he said, adding that this was a key source of distress for Rosy.

According to him, Rosy allowed public pressure and misguided advice from people who misunderstood the media space to shape her decisions.

Churchill added that he remains focused on fixing what needs repair and ensuring all his children grow up united and connected.
