The senior pastor of Goodtidings Bible Church International Dr Dayo Olutayo has urged Nigerians to be hopeful and patriotic amid the current economic situation in the country.
He made the call during the 19th anniversary of the church in Abuja yesterday.
He said nobody has the power to determine the place where he or she would be born in this world, adding that it was divinely determined.
“You can’t choose your country for God. God doesn’t make mistakes. You are not in Nigeria by chance. We must keep hope alive. Even though some of our past leaders have made mistakes, we should pride ourselves and move our nation forward to an enviable height.
“This nation has the potential to become the biggest, the most powerful nation on the earth. We have the population and resources. We have people with brains.
Somehow whatever has made this nation down will be relegated.”
On the war between Israel and Palestine, he said that the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas was not religious related.
“The war has nothing to do with religion. I went to Israel this year. I met a pastor who is a Palestinian. There are churches and Christians in Palestine, and there are also Muslims in Palestine. So the battle between Hamas and Israel is not based on religion. It is a land, border problem,” he said.
