The Senior Pastor of Good Tidings Bible Church International, Tayo Olutayo, has admonished Nigerians to be humble, live in unity, and respect the laws of the land to attract God’s blessings.

Olutayo gave the admonition during a church’s exceptional service in Abuja to celebrate its mandate prayer convention, “Outpouring 2025.”

The service with the theme, “the reawakening,” was organised to pray for church members and the country.

The cleric said, “Nigeria would soon undergo a positive transformation that would move us from lack and hopelessness to plenty and hopefulness, ushering in the goodness of God.

“But before then, Nigerians must be united; the country’s unity is essential to God,” he said.

According to him, if Nigeria is united, God will always listen to the people, and the narrative will change.

“The leaders and followers need to be humble in all their endeavours and dealings with one another. “There is also the need to honour the land by obeying the laws; treat everybody as equal, and nobody should be above the law of the land.”

Olutayo said the Eagle on Nigeria’s coat of arms is willing to fly, which is about manifesting God’s plan, and things will turn around for good.

For his part, the Chairman of the Church, Jose Adeniji, said one of Nigeria’s significant challenges was ethno-religious differences.

He said that once ethnicity and religious bigotry moved out of Nigeria, the country would be united and would be one of the best places in the world.

Adeniji recalled that many years ago, any Nigerian, regardless of tribe or religion, could gain employment and work in any part of the country.

“I am particular about the unity of Nigeria, because I am a Yoruba man by birth, a Northerner by service and Igbo by marriage. Nigeria must be united,” he said.

Another cleric, Fidel Odeh, said that the assumption that men of God only speak to the church usually leads to the miscarriage of the gospel message.

“It is not like that because when the change comes, it penetrates everywhere, not only the church.”

The Church Council’s Secretary, Casmir Igwu, said the “outpouring 2025” was God’s mandated prayer convention for the Church.

“In addition, God gives the church the mandate to connect men to Him and the deliverance of Nigeria. “So, the three concepts of unity, humility and honour to the land are apt, if Nigerians see themselves as one people, the country would be better,” he said
