Come And See Testimony

Text: John 1:45–46; Genesis 49:13. John 1:45–46 (KJV):

 “Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.”

You shall have a “come and see” testimony so that your song too will be:

Come and see o, come and see

Come and see o, come and see

Come and see what the Lord has done.

Come and see what the Lord has done.

This question, “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?” is the same evil question that the enemy is throwing at so many people today. It is an evil cry against a person’s destiny.

When somebody looks at you and asks, “Can  any good thing come out of this one?” But let us do a little Bible study. Why Nazareth? Why did Nathanael ask this question? Why Nazareth? A tiny Bible study will answer this question.

Jacob had 12 sons: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Joseph, Issachar, Dan, Benjamin, Asher, Gad, Naphtali, and Zebulun.

Jacob divided his inheritance among them before his death. Let us see what he gave to Zebulun in Genesis 49:13 (KJV): “Zebulun shall dwell at the haven of the sea; and he shall be for an haven of ships; and his border shall be unto Zidon.”

I never could understand what Zebulun had done to Jacob that he gave him this sort of inheritance. So when Jacob was giving his sons inheritance, the smallest of the inheritance was given to Zebulun. Zebulun was the sixth and last son of Leah, that wife that Jacob was forced to marry after 7 years of slavery. Jacob now said to Zebulun that his descendants would be those who dwell at the seaside, at the very edge of the land of promise. So Zebulun was living in an area that was near the Sea of Galilee. It was the least of the inheritances.

So while his brothers received huge inheritances that included mountains, fertile land, pasture to support sheep, and cattle, all that the tribe of Zebulun received was an address. His land was next to the sea. The land cannot produce anything of profit. His brothers appeared more prosperous. His family appeared to be the losers. This land that Zebulun inherited was one of the most despised lands. It was far in the north, a long distance from Jerusalem. It was remote from the centre of government.

So, those who come from Galilee are known to be illiterate, lack culture, speak crude language, and have little or no chance of achieving huge success. Nazareth was a town in Galilee, and Nathaniel was a Galilean. That town had 11 houses and one street. Nazareth had the worst reputation of any town in Galilee. The population of the whole town is below 2,000 people, and they have a large population of Gentiles. So the name Nazareth was not respectable at all. It was not admirable or honourable at all.

People spoke of Nazareth with disgust and disdain. So Nazareth was unimportant, backward, and an insignificant town hidden away in the mountains of Galilee. Surely, how can the Messiah come from that kind of place? That is why Nathaniel asked, “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?” Perhaps you are reading this message, you feel misused and abused,  discarded and trampled upon, or you feel like a doormat, or maybe , you even wished you lived in another place. You wish you were born in another class or race. You wish your parents were not your parents. You wish you were born somewhere else.

You keep asking, “Why was I not born into a rich family? Why was I born poor? Why can I not have the physical appearance of others? Why can I not have the kind of breakthroughs others are having? Why is my life like this?” You keep bombarding your life with questions. Listen to me: Jesus came from Nazareth, this despised town, a town people called with disgust. So God brought something good out of Nazareth. That is why Philip said “Come and see”. What a big lesson. Great things can come from strange places.

God can do more than expected. God can come in ways and principles that we do not expect. God shows up at the back door while you are expecting Him at the front door. God shows up in unexpected places. Meaning that you may not know that you are better than you think. So , once you have been blessed by God, it does not matter who you are. It does not matter where you are from. Your gender does not matter. All Moses had in his hand was a rod blessed by God. That rod turned water into blood. That rod opened the Red Sea. With that rod in his hand, Moses took over the government of Egypt.

 

That widow in the Bible had an empty barrel. Everything ran dry. But by the time God appeared, everything had changed. Jesus did not come from:

– Jericho, which is known for its high lofty walls and expensive life.

– Bethlehem, a city that is filled with many hymns and beauty spots

– Bethany, a city of beautiful gardens

– Jerusalem, a city that has the temple and which is the capital.

Philip answered “Come and see”.

 

I prophesy upon your life that the testimony of “come and see” will manifest in your life! In the name of Jesus. (a sevenfold amen).

Say: My “come and see” testimony, manifest by fire! In the name of Jesus.

Hear this heavenly decree, and let there be a tenfold amen that

Every prayer you are going to pray here today as a sealing for this 70 days prayer and fasting shall bring you a “come and see” testimony! In the name of Jesus.

 

By “Come and see” testimonies, we mean:

– testimonies that give birth to other testimonies.

– testimonies that make men open their mouths in wonder.

– testimonies that advertise God in your life.

– Testimonies that will celebrate you

– Testimonies that will show your God as the El Shaddai. El-Shaddai is the God who is more than sufficient.

– Testimonies that will prove to the world that you serve a living God.

– testimonies after the order of Sharach, Meshach, and Abednego.

They threw them into the fire, but immediately after they did that, the men encountered four testimonies:

1. The fire destroyed the people that threw them into the fire.

The fire shall destroy your enemies! In the name of Jesus.

2. The fire did not harm them. It was just like cool air on their bodies.

The fire of the enemy shall not burn you, in the name of Jesus.

3. They came across the King of kings and Lord of lords in that fire. They might never have met Him, but the people pushed them into that fire to meet the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. For when Nebuchadnezzar looked into the fire, he said “ah, we threw 3 men into the fire, but I can see four men. Men upon whose bodies the fire has no power”.

 

That is why I decree upon your life that all the best efforts of your enemies shall end in painful failure! In the name of Jesus.

 

4. They received promotion. Nebuchadnezzar said, “Come out of that fire,” and he promoted them to become governors.

 

‘Come and see’ testimony is the kind of testimony:

– that will pick you out of the crowd and announce you.

– that will show that your God can save with many or with few.

– that brings people to ask and to serve your God.

 

Years ago, an Igbo woman came to me crying. What happened? She had had six girls, and the in-laws said, “Thank you so much; you are a good wife, but now we want a boy. Do not stress yourself; you already have six girls, so we have brought a new wife to your husband from the village. Do not bother getting pregnant again; leave it for the new wife”. It was devastating to her for a new wife to come into her home after several years of marriage. Those of you who are here from Igbo land know how critical it is for men to have male children.

 

To the surprise of the woman, her husband did not object to the new wife’s arrival. He just gave the lady a room in the house and continued. That is what brought her here, crying. So I said, “Stop crying. Do you want to get pregnant?” She said “Yes, if it is a boy”. I said, “Okay, go back and tell your husband to send away the new wife. Before this time next year, you will have a boy, as said by the Holy Spirit”. She looked at me and said, “No, you do not know my husband. He is very stubborn. He does not respect anybody”. I looked at her and said, “Madam, you do not know Jesus. He is very stubborn”.

 

So she went back home. She had no boldness to address the man. She just said, “Daddy, our pastor said that this woman should go away and that before this time next year, I will have a boy”. He replied, “Your pastor? Who is your pastor?” She mentioned my name, and he replied “Okay, if it is that one, I will listen”. And he asked the girl to go away. Very soon, the sister got pregnant. By the time the first scan was carried out, they were triplets. By the time she gave birth to the children, they were all boys. Now, this testimony has converted people on her street and all the family members both here in Nigeria and in America.

 

Your testimony shall give birth to other testimonies! Your miracle shall give birth to other miracles! In the name of Jesus. (a sevenfold amen).

 

A “come and see” testimony is:

– A testimony that cannot be explained. The doctors will say “This is not possible”. The nurses will say “This is strange”.

– a testimony that will make people stand aside and watch.

– a testimony that makes people shout endless Halleluyahs.

– A testimony that shows your God as the God who knows no impossibilities.

– A testimony that shows your God as the Man of war.

– a testimony that proves that you serve a living God that answers by fire.

– a testimony that rewrites your family history.

– A testimony that makes people come and steal-look at you.

– A testimony that makes your story become history.

– A testimony that makes you a divine phenomenon.

– A testimony that will even make your enemies celebrate with you.

 

If you know that that is your lot here at the prayer programme this morning, shout a sevenfold amen.

 

PRAYER POINTS

Powers delaying my testimonies; what are you waiting for? Die! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 1: LET MY GOLIATH DIE

1. Goliath of my father’s house, your time is up; die! In the name of Jesus.
2. Goliath of my father’s house, that is cursing me day and night, today: die! In the name of Jesus.
3. Witchcraft Goliaths hiding inside my family, run mad! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 2: PARALYSING MARRIAGE KILLERS

1. Powers assigned to kill what should give me joy, you are liars; die! In the name of Jesus.
2. Every satanic judgement against my family, from any coven, be roasted by fire! In the name of Jesus.
3. O God, arise, stir up yourself in defense of my marriage, in defense of my career! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 3: KILL THE FAMILY SERPENTS

1. With the sword of fire, thunder, and judgement, I cut off the heads of family serpents! In the name of Jesus.
2. The attack of family serpents manifesting as sickness, failure, poverty, frustration, rejection, in my life, die! In the name of Jesus.
3. Shout the Blood of Jesus 21 times.

 

Session 4: POSSESSING THE GATE OF THE ENEMIES

1. Strange battles saying my story will not be changed; die by fire! In the name of Jesus.
2. Gates of irrelegular favour: in my bloodline, I am not your candidate; die by fire! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 5: NEUTRALSING DESTRUCTIVE INCANTATIONS.

1. All curses and destructive incantations, issued against my glory, be destroyed! In the name of Jesus.
2. I connect myself and my family, to the blessings of the Lord, in the name of Jesus.

 

Session 6: I shall reach my goal.

1. Power assigned to stop me from reaching my goal, die! In the name of Jesus.
2. O God arise, and give me speed to overtake those who have gone ahead of me! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 7: PRAYING THE BLOOD OF JESUS

1. Covenant in the blood of Jesus; scatter all my battles! In the name of Jesus.
2. Blood of Jesus, prevail over my situations! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 8: DESTROYING SPIRITUAL MARRIAGE.

1. Stubborn spiritual partner, hear the Word of the Lord: let me go! In the name of Jesus.
2. Spiritual spouse, tormenting my physical marriage, enough is enough: die by fire! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 9: I SHALL NOT DIE BUT LIVE

1. I shall not die but live, to declare the works of the Lord, in the land of the living! In the name of Jesus.
2. Sing: Any power wey say na me go die, na that power na him go die!

 

Session 10: TOUCH NOT MY ANOINTED.

1. Wicked powers assigned to harm me, harm yourselves! In the name of Jesus.
2. By the blood of Jesus, I become untouchable by the powers of darkness! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 11: LET MY BLESSINGS LOCATE ME.

1. You, my blessings all over the world, hear the Word of the Lord, locate me by fire! In the name of Jesus.
2. Any power anywhere assigned to hinder my blessings from locating me, wherever you are, catch fire, die! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 12: MY HAMAN SHALL DIE IN MY PLACE.

1. Strongmen’s weapons of death, ordained to stop me before my glory manifests, backfire and destroy your owner! In the name of Jesus.
2. Haman of my father’s house, Haman of my mother’s house, digging the pit of sudden death, fall into your own pit, and die in my place! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 13: PARALYSING CHILDREN KILLERS.

1. Powers that want me to bury my children when I am still alive, you are liars; die! In the name of Jesus.
2. Dark powers assigned to kill my children because they cannot kill me, you are liars; run mad and die! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 14: PROMOTE ME BY FIRE!

1. Every Haman and Goliath, standing against my promotion, I cut off your head! In the name of Jesus.
2. (Demonstrate it prophetically) As I move now, success and promotion, locate me by fire! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 15: I SHALL BE THE HEAD AND NOT THE TAIL.

1. Generational covenant over my life and destiny, break by fire! In the name of Jesus.
2. O God, my Father, lift up my head above the enemies round about me! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 16: DO SOMETHING NEW IN MY LIFE.

1. O God, arise, do something new in my life! In the name of Jesus.
2. By the mercy of God, today, I receive brand new testimonies! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 17: DISSOLVING EVIL REINFORCEMENTS.

1. Powers regrouping, restrategising and repositioning themselves to destroy me, scatter! In the name of Jesus.
2. Powers calling for help from their base to attack me and disgrace me, die! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 18: POVERTY MUST DIE.

1. Strongman of poverty of my father’s house, your mission is over; die! In the name of Jesus.
2. Every yoke of poverty attached to my life, break! die! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 19: LET GOD BE GOD IN MY LIFE.

1. O Lord, be exalted over all my affairs, and let your glory secure my soul in the name of Jesus.
2. Every evil voice speaking against the will of God for my life, shut up forever! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 20: DEFEATING BUSINESS BEWITCHMENT.

1. Weapons and agents of bewitchment, troubling my business, catch fire! In the name of Jesus.
2. Curse of betwitchment upon my business, by the power in the blood of Jesus, be converted into prosperity, be converted into blessing! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 21: REVOKING EVIL JUDGEMENTS.

1. Every wicked judgement given against my glory, I disagree with you, as I clap my hands, catch fire! In the name of Jesus.
2. Every evil decision taken by wicked council against my life, I disagree with you; scatter by fire! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 22: POWER AGAINST STAGNANCY.

1. Every yoke of stagnancy operating in my foundation, break now! In the name of Jesus.
2. Judgement of stagnancy pronounced by wicked elders over my life, die! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 23: POWER AGAINST MONEY SWALLOWERS.

1. Powers of darkness, that are swallowing my money, o God of fire, destroy them! In the name of Jesus.
2. Pharaoh and Goliath in charge of my wealth; what are you waiting for? Die! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 24: WIPING OFF WITCHCRAFT HANDWRITING

1. Handwriting of witchcraft that is blocking my star from shining; your time is up; clear away! In the name of Jesus.
2. (Place your right hand on your forehead.) Blood of Jesus, wipe away every witchcraft handwriting assigned against my calling, in the name of Jesus.

 

Session 25: UPROOTING EVIL PLANTATIONS.

1. Plantations of darkness, in my life, I uproot you by fire! In the name of Jesus.
2. Whatever my heavenly father has not planted in my life, that is presently there; today, die! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 26: BLINDING EVIL OBSERVERS.

1. Evil eyes, searching for my blessings, in order to stop me, you are a liar: as I pray now, go blind! In the name of Jesus.
2. Agents of darkness around my life, around my family, observing us for evil, and we do not know: in the name of Jesus, receive double blindness! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 27: DEFEATING DREAMS OF DEMOTION.

1. Every arrow of demotion and failure, fired into my life in the dream: backfire! In the name of Jesus.
2. I recover every good thing that I have lost in my dream, by the power of the Holy Ghost! In the name of Jesus.

 

Session 28: RECEIVING FRESH FIRE!

1. Where is the Lord God of Elijah? My life is available; let your fresh fire enter me! In the name of Jesus.
2. Fresh fire of God, descend upon me now! In the name of Jesus.
