The Senator expressed appreciation to Hon. Lucky Avweromre, Chairman of Ughelli South LGA, and Dr Eravwoke Onomine, Executive Secretary of the LGA Health Authority, for their support and collaboration in ensuring the success of the outreach programme.

The outreach recorded 230 participants who directly benefited from diabetes testing, blood pressure checks, free medical consultations, and medications. Additionally, 104 beneficiaries received free reading glasses through the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) support, while the Okiero Anthony Okoro Development Foundation (OAODF) screened over 100 residents for tuberculosis and provided free treatment.

The Ewu outreach concluded the series on a high note, reflecting a shared vision for healthier and better-informed communities across Delta Central.

A day earlier, the outreach had similarly assisted residents of Ughelli South LGA. During the outreach, 112 reading eyeglasses were distributed to beneficiaries after screening, while 61 cases of hypertension and 13 new cases of diabetes were attended to.

Senator Dafinone equally appreciated the cooperation and assistance of Ughelli North LGA Chairman Olorogun Barr. Jaro Egbo, and the Executive Secretary of the Ughelli North Local Government Health Authority, Dr Ighovo Tega, who described the outreach as “a life-saving intervention that continues to close healthcare gaps in rural and semi-urban areas across the district”.
