Davido Hails Deceased Mom ‘A Baddie’

Afrobeats singer, Davido, nee David Adeleke has hailed his deceased mother, Veronica  Hailey Imade Adeleke ‘a baddie’.

OBO, the award-winning singer carried out the hailing in a recent Instagram post he made in commemoration of his late mother.

The post showed the singer’s mother

in her academic regalia,

in her university days, with the text, “My mom was a baddie”.

Davido’s mother, Mrs. Veronica Adeleke died at age 39, on March 6, 2003. She was a lecturer at Babcock University, the school where the singer later earned a degree in music.

Before her death, she was a huge fan of her son, and founded a band called Davido’s Band in honour of her son. Davido’s daughters Imade and Hailey, were named after her.

She was a lecturer at Babcock University, where Davido would later earn a degree in music.
