Nigerian music executive Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has revealed his long-standing struggle with self-confidence.
Speaking during an interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Bounce Radio, the Mavin Records boss revealed that negative comments about his appearance during his university years had a lasting impact on his self-esteem.
According to Don Jazzy, repeated remarks from female students who described him as unattractive affected his confidence and shaped how he viewed himself for years.
Girls used to call me ugly in university, and no one wanted to be my girlfriend. It affected my confidence, and that’s why I’m shy and struggle to speak in public till today,” he noted.
The music mogul also added that it affected his confidence so much that he finds it hard to believe when a woman says she truly loves him.
