Duncan Group To Commission Multi-billion Naira Fertiliser Blending Plant

Plateau and North Central farmers will now heave a sigh of relief as Duncan Fertiliser Company Limited is set to commission its multi billion naira fertilisers blending Plant located at Lawrin, Heipang in Barki Ladi LGA of Plateau state.

Duncan Fertilizer Company Limited was established is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Duncan group under the Oil and Chemical Limited (OCI) in partnership with Plateau State government in 2016 for fertiliser blending, distribution and supply as its core business, will be commissioned next week by the minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Sen. Abubakar Kyari.

The company, in a statement signed by Mainasara Illo said that through the efforts of a skilled and dedicated team, Plateau Duncan Fertilizer Company is fast evolving into one of the leading companies within the agro-allied chain in the country.

He explained that as a blending facility in Plateau State with a wide distribution network, Plateau Duncan Fertilizer Limited is set to commence full operations and will continue to flourish in Nigeria as the Plateau Pride; with its flagship brand “Duncan Fertiliser” providing an array of blended NPK variants like NPK 15, 15, 15; NPK 20, 10, 10; NPK 12-12- 17, etc., as required by individuals or corporate customers.

Part of the statement reads, “What sets the company apart and ahead of others is not the blending capacity of 120mt per hour with a capacity of over 550,000MTPA. It is the top range technology of our machinery amidst the incomparable competence of the operatives to provide both the traditional NPK formulations of the NPK 20, 10, 10 ;15, 15, 15! as well as its customised formulae and carefully calibrated enrichment”.

The statement pointed out that the flagship brand, Duncan Fertiliser is already the favourite of the farmer in Plateau State and will move into the other regions of the North Central Nigeria and beyond, adding that they are also participating in the Federal Government’s Presidential fertiliser initiative which provides fertilisers to farmers at a subsidised rate.
