The schools closure aligns with the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs’ declaration of Friday, June 7, 2025, as Eid-el-Kabir (Sallah) day and the observance of Democracy Day on Wednesday, June 12, 2025.

The ministry also directed all schools to remain closed during this period to allow students, teachers, and stakeholders to fully participate in the festivities.

Commissioner of Education in the state, Professor Adam Idris extended warm wishes to all for a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
