Eid-El-Maulud: Governor Bala Mohammed Urges Citizens To Embrace Peace, Unity

The Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah in the state and across Nigeria on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Maulud celebration, calling on citizens to reflect on the virtues of peace, love, honesty, patience, humility, and selflessness exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

In a goodwill message to mark the celebration, Governor Bala Mohammed expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah (SWT) for granting the people the opportunity to witness another Eid-el-Maulud, which commemorates the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

In a statement issued by the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Mukhtar Gidado, yesterday, the Governor described the occasion as a period of spiritual reflection, urging Muslims and all citizens to evaluate their relationship with Allah and one another while striving to promote righteousness, compassion, and peaceful coexistence.

He emphasised that the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) remain a guide for humanity, particularly through his commitment to peace, kindness, generosity, truthfulness, and service to others.

Governor Bala Mohammed called on the people of Bauchi State to continue strengthening the bonds of unity and brotherhood, stressing that the state’s diversity in ethnicity, culture, and religion remains its greatest strength rather than a source of division.

He said,”Bauchi State is blessed with a rich diversity of people and traditions. We must continue to appreciate our differences, reject prejudice, and extend hands of fellowship to one another, irrespective of religious or ethnic background. Our collective progress depends on our ability to live together in peace and harmony,” the Governor stated.

The Governor also urged the Muslim faithful to intensify prayers for peace, security, and economic prosperity in Bauchi State and Nigeria, especially in view of the prevailing national challenges. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustaining its development agenda through the end of its tenure, noting that ongoing investments in critical sectors, including healthcare, education, agriculture, and infrastructure, will remain a priority.

According to him, his administration remains determined to complete ongoing projects and deliver a lasting legacy of development and prosperity for the people of Bauchi State.

Governor Bala Mohammed further assured residents that maintaining peace, law and order remains a top priority of his administration, adding that security agencies are working tirelessly to protect lives and property across the state.

He warned individuals and groups who may attempt to incite violence, exploit differences, or undermine the state’s peace that such actions will not be tolerated, and that offenders will face the full weight of the law.

While appreciating the continued support and cooperation of the people of Bauchi State, the Governor wished the Muslim Ummah a peaceful, blessed, and hitch-free Eid-el-Maulud celebration.
