Obiamaka Enweluzor, 24-year-old undergraduate of the University of Abuja, has been crowned winner of the 2022 Queen of Peace Nigeria International Pageant.
The 200-Level Accounting student, who hails from Enugwu-ukwu in Anambra state, out-shined other contestants to emerge the overall winner of the annual beauty fiesta organised by Messengers of Peace Foundation in Abuja.
Contestants for the pageant were selected from the country’s six geopolitical zones,and nine were crowned at the grand finale.
Miss Miriam Simon emerged Queen Of Peace North West, while Julie Ubani was crowned Queen of Peace International.
Other winners are Victoria Paul; Face of Messengers of Peace Foundation, Comfort John; Queen of Peace South South, Toluwalope Ojedokun; Queen of Peace North Central,Damilola Hannah Folorunsho; Queen Of South West, Ujunwa Nkechi ; Queen of Peace South East and Miracle Daniel ;Queen of Peace North East.
In his address, the National President, Messenger of Peace, Dr Suleiman Adejoh said the annual event was geared towards promoting peaceful coexistence through pageantry .
According to him, the contestant were made to pass through mentoring on peace and how to promote peace within and beyond Nigeria.
He therefore commended the Federal Capital Territory Administration(FCTA) for its role in peace building in the FCT, especially the Grand Matron of Messenger of Peace, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani, FCT Minister of State for the role she played in making the successful.
“The main objective is to work for the promotion of peace across the country irrespective of tribe, gender and religion.
“The Queens will represent the six geopolitical zones of the country, while the lead Queen will be promoting peace in Nigeria and the International Queen shall be responsible to promote peace through Nigerians living abroad,” he said.
