The Renewed Hope Ex-Councilors Forum has thrown its weight behind candidates who emerged as flag bearers of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 governorship elections, pledging to mobilise grassroots support across the country to ensure their success at the polls.

The forum, made up of former local government councilors from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), described the emergence of the candidates as a significant step towards consolidating progressive governance and advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda at the state level.

In a statement issued to journalists yesterday in Abuja by its national coordinator, Barr. Bashir Ba’ale, the group congratulated the APC governorship candidates, saying their victories in the party’s primaries reflected their leadership qualities, political experience, dedication and commitment to the ideals of the ruling party.

According to the forum, the conduct of the primaries also demonstrated the APC’s commitment to internal democracy and transparent leadership selection.
