Ex-Jigawa Lawmaker Adamu Dies In Captivity Despite N50m Ransom Payment

Former chairman, Committee on Justice and Privileges in the National House of Assembly, and also , a prominent chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Jigawa State,Hom Abba Anas Adamu, has died while being held hostage by kidnappers.

Hon Abba Anas was abducted along with his friend and political associate Alhaji Ali Tukur Gantsa at Rijana area on Kaduna Abuja road while on their way back to Kano State.

His captors initially demanded N200 million before settling for N50 million following negotiations.

Hon Adamu, who was former member representing Guri Kirikasamma/ Birniwa federal constituency in Jigawa State was confirmed death after the bandits collected the ransom and led his son to were they deposited his copse.

Alhaji Ali Tukur Gantsa was confirmed freed alive from the captives after the Ransome payment.
