Former Minister of Environment, Barrister Mohammed Hassan Abdullahi, has tendered his resignation from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Abdullahi served in the cabinet of immediate-past President Muhammadu Buhari administration as Minister of State for Science and Technology before his elevation to substantive minister in charge of Environment Ministry.
Abdullahi had previously served as Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government under former Governor Tanko Almakura.
The former minister submitted his resignation letter to the APC chairman in his Uke Ward of Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State on Sunday.
The letter, which was also copied to other party officials, cited personal reasons for his departure from the party.
He expressed gratitude to the party’s leadership for opportunities to serve the country and support received during his tenure.
“I wish you and the party good luck,” the former Minister stated in the letter.
