Former governor of Ekiti State and ex-Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF), Dr Kayode Fayemi, has felicitated former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, on his 70th birthday, describing him as a distinguished public servant who has contributed significantly to Nigeria’s development.

Fayemi, in a statement issued by his media office in Abuja, said Mustapha’s 70th birthday was an opportunity to celebrate not only his personal journey but also decades of service, leadership and commitment to the country.

He described the former SGF as a consummate public servant whose career had been defined by patriotism, diligence, humility and a strong sense of duty.

According to Fayemi, Mustapha brought considerable experience, wisdom, calmness and dedication to his role as Secretary to the Government of the Federation, particularly during a significant period in Nigeria’s history.

“Your remarkable journey in public service and contributions to our national life are worthy of commendation.

“As Secretary to the Government of the Federation, you served Nigeria with distinction at a particularly significant period in our national history, bringing to the office your experience, wisdom, calm disposition and strong sense of duty,” Fayemi said.

The former governor also commended Mustapha for his continued commitment to public service and his belief in Nigeria’s capacity to overcome its challenges and realise its enormous potential.

He said attaining the age of 70 provided an important opportunity for reflection on a life of service, while looking forward to many more years of positive impact.

Fayemi further praised Mustapha for the dignity, maturity and statesmanship with which he had conducted himself both in and out of public office.

He said such qualities were increasingly important at a time when Nigeria needed experienced voices, bridge-builders and individuals committed to moderation and national unity.

“Your 70th birthday is a celebration of a life that has touched many people and contributed meaningfully to our national development.

“At a time when Nigeria needs men and women of experience, integrity and moderation to continue contributing to the national conversation, your voice and counsel remain valuable,” he added.

Fayemi joined Mustapha’s family, friends, associates and Nigerians across the country in celebrating the milestone, praying that God would grant him many more years in good health, peace and fulfilment.

He also prayed for continued wisdom and strength for the former SGF to enable him to remain useful in the service of humanity and Nigeria.
