The acting rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, Samson Adehuga Omogbehin, has felicitated with Nigerians, staff and students of the institution on the occasion of Easter.
A statement signed yesterday by the acting rector said, “On behalf of the Governing Council, Academic Board, management, staff and students of Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji,Ondo State, I warmly felicitate our Christian brothers and sisters in the polytechnic community, and Nigerians at large on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration.
“The commemoration of Easter is a cardinal event in the Christendom that marks the triumph of Christ over death through resurrection and which rekindles the hope of Christian faithful in eternity.
Christ teachings of love, sacrifice, perseverance and humility should be imbibed by all and sundry during this festive period and beyond so as to guarantee a better society.
“Let me also seize this auspicious occasion to thank and appreciate all staff and students of the polytechnic for their unalloyed support, assurances and understanding since my appointment as the acting rector of our esteemed institution. The task ahead is a collective one and I humbly implore us to team up together to take our Polytechnic to greater heights. Once again, I wish you all a wonderful and fun-filled Easter Celebration and God’s abundant blessings.”
The management, staff and students of the polytechnic have also been charged to build on the legacy of prayers for the peace and growth of the institution.
The charge was made by the acting rector at the monthly prayer meeting of the institution.
In a statement signed by the deputy registrar, information and protocol, Sanmi Enigbokan, the acting rector appreciated the staff and students for their support and encouragement and charged them to build on the legacy of the monthly prayer meetings which he said had been impactful in every ramification.
