Interswitch has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing efficiency in public sector payments through its continued participation as a Payment Service Solution Provider (PSSP) on the federal government’s Revenue Assurance and Optimisation Platform (RevOP).

The company’s involvement in the platform underscores its role in supporting government efforts to strengthen revenue collection processes, improve transparency, and enhance accountability across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

RevOP was introduced as part of the federal government’s strategy to optimise revenue collection, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and provide real-time visibility into public revenues. Through its integration with the platform, Interswitch facilitates secure and seamless payment processing, enabling funds collected through the portal to be efficiently routed into the Treasury Single Account (TSA).

The arrangement supports the government’s objective of maintaining a transparent and accountable revenue management framework while simplifying payment processes for citizens, businesses, and government institutions.

Speaking on the development, managing director, INCLUSIO at Interswitch, Muyiwa Lasagna, said the company remains focused on supporting government-led initiatives aimed at improving public financial management and service delivery.

According to him, Interswitch’s role on the RevOP platform reflects its commitment to providing secure, efficient, and compliant payment solutions that contribute to enhanced transparency and effectiveness in public revenue administration.

“Interswitch is proud to continue supporting the federal government’s drive toward greater transparency and efficiency in public revenue management. Our role on the RevOP platform reflects our commitment to delivering secure, seamless, and compliant payment infrastructure that enables all stakeholders to meet their obligations with confidence,” Lasagna said.

The company noted that its continued participation builds on years of experience in supporting critical national payment infrastructure and collaborating with regulatory agencies, financial institutions, and government bodies to drive digital transformation across Nigeria’s public sector.

With infrastructure designed to ensure high transaction uptime, real-time processing, and secure data management, Interswitch said it remains well-positioned to support the evolving needs of government revenue collection and payment administration.

Industry observers believe that deeper collaboration between technology firms and government institutions is essential to improving revenue assurance, reducing leakages, and strengthening public sector financial management.

By expanding its role on the RevOP platform, Interswitch is further consolidating its position within Nigeria’s digital payments ecosystem while supporting initiatives aimed at promoting fiscal transparency, operational efficiency, and sustainable governance across government institutions.
