His remarkable journey in education began in 1962. He attended Gindiri Blind Secondary School in Plateau State, graduating in 1979, and furthered his education at Tudun Maliki School for the Special Needs in Kano.

In 1994, Diso joined the Department of Special Education at Bayero University. His academic career saw a significant milestone in 2019 when he became Nigeria’s first visually impaired Professor.
