Five members of the House of Representatives on Wednesday dumped their political parties for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Accord Party.

Out of the five, three lawmakers , Hon. Garba Inuwa (Gombe), Hon. Abdullahi El-Rasheed (Gombe), and Hon. Mohammed Audu (Taraba) ,defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, while Hon. Joshua Obika (Abuja North) dumped the Labour Party for the APC.

On the other hand, Hon. Adewale Adebayo, the member representing Irepodun/Olorunda/Oshogbo/Orolu Federal Constituency of Osun State, announced his resignation from the PDP to join the Accord Party.

In their separate letters addressed to the House and read by the Speaker, the lawmakers cited prolonged internal crises and leadership disputes within their former parties as the main reasons for their decisions.
