LEADERSHIP gathered that the area witnessed heavy downpour between Friday and Saturday last which put pressure of the bridge to cave in to the forceful water torrents.

Residents of the area appealed to the Oyo State Government for intervention even as they charged the chairman of the local government area, Hon. Kazeem Arogundade, to expedite action in reconstructing the collapsed bridge.

They maintained that more people have been subjected to hardship in the people of the area as a result of the collapsed bridge for disrupting their economic activities.
