The Progressives’s Solidarity for Asiwaju (PSA) has called on the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to focus on things that he will achieve within the first 100 days in office.

The leader of the group who was also a member of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Chief Ibrahim Emokpaire, said Nigerians are expecting much from Tinubu adding that he will not disappoint.

Emokpaire assured Nigerians that Tinubu will fulfill all promises made during his campaign as well as his manifesto.

In a statement issued by the director Press & Publicity, Ayodele Olusegun Ariyo, the group advised the president-elect that subsidy removal should be done on a reductive scale over a period of three to six months so that it won’t be an immediate shock to Nigeria’s economy and have adverse effect on its citizens.

“It will be necessary to have the removal on a step by step system so the effect will not be too sudden.

“The foreign exchange system in place that is operating presently should be something that the President-elect must collapse immediately, to one exchange rate to sustain economic growth for the nation.”

“It will have an immediate benefit to Nigerians rather than having two layers of exchange rate, the parallel and the black Market rates.

“So one single exchange rate system would be highly beneficial to the economy itself. So these are some of the immediate advise for the President-elect to look into as he steps into office,” Emokpaire said while assuring Nigerians that the President-elect, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu is a progressive to the core, and have the technical know-how and will surround himself with the right people, he knows the rudiments of governance.

“So, he will be able to take up from day one to hit the ground running, so that with him we will have a new dawn for a better Nigeria.

“As soon as the president elect is sworn in on the 29th of May 2023, because lots of Nigerians are having high expectations and I’m assured that the President-elect will not disappoint us and I’m very confident from the experience I had working with him over the years under the Action Congress of Nigeria (A.C.N).

“As our leader, one thing you can’t take away from Tinubu is the ability to see through some of the vision he has earmarked out for himself and the country to be achieved within the shortest possible time, and I have no doubt that he will not entertain any distraction by focusing strictly on the things that he would do within his first 100 days in office,” Emokpaire said, insisting that he is confident in the President-elect’s promises that he is going to form a Government of National Competence.

“I have no doubt that he would ensure that round pegs are actually put in the round hole and this is somebody who can easily assemble to himself competent ones within the shortest possible time”.

He further advised that the President-elect should do what was done in England when they had the economic crisis in 2009, they had to bring in a Canadian financial wizard to head the Bank of England & he helped fix their economy for them, so I believe that Mr President-elect will be looking at having an expert even coming around if not as head or atleast as a major adviser within our Central Bank and I believe we are in for an economic rebounds, engaging in positive governance that would transcend beyond our anticipation.
