Foundation Unveils Hospital Equipment For Orphanage, Vulnerable In Cross River

Kids of Tomorrow Foundation (Orphanage) has unveiled a state-of-the-art hospital equipment worth millions of Naira to care for health needs of inmates and vulnerables at Kalime, Lastmotor area in Ikom LGA of Cross River State.

Some of the equipment unveiled by the management of the Foundation included beds and beddings, scan machines, incubators, refrigerators, and several others.

The Foundation, which is working in partnership with office of the Wife of Cross River State governor, Rev. Mrs. Eyoawan Bassey Otu, procured the equipment in its effort to render selfless service to humanity.

At the unveiling ceremony of the hospital equipment, which took place in Ikom LGA of the state, President of Kids of Tomorrow Foundation, Mrs. Pentecoster Fombe, stated that the equipment will assist the medical unit of the organization to tackle health challenges of inmates and the vulnerables in the host community of Kalime, Lastmotor, Ikom LGA of the state.

“With the equipment, our medical unit can respond speedily without any hitch to the health needs of the children and vulnerable who come seeking for medical attention.

“Our expectation is that the host community of Kalime Lastmotor area will partner the Foundation in the areas of security and protection,” she maintained.

Fombe stated that the challenge before the organization was to settle down and utilise the health facilities to meet up with the health needs of inmates, whom she said were the organisation’s primary target.

“For our children who are here at the Kids of Tomorrow Foundation, know that whatever challenge that you faced in the past, know that those challenges are like stepping stone towards greatness.

“The challenges will have become history. Henceforth, I want you people to hold your heads high, tomorrow belongs to you,” Fombe added.

In his remarks, a Trustee of the Foundation, Prof. Lukong Christopher, called for community effort to assist the underprivileged to succeed in life rather than wear a lukewarm attitude on the underprivileged.

Wife of the Cross River State governor, Rev. Mrs. Eyoawan Otu, was represented by the Special Adviser on Projects, Dr. Inyang Asibong, lauded the the management and staff of the Foundation for the initiative and pledged collaboration with the Foundation to impact on the society.
