The Inspiring Youth Africa Magazine in collaboration with Rest Logic Nigeria, a non-governmental organisation in Abuja is set to honour selected women for their outstanding contributions to humanity and raising the bar of leadership.
The group in a statement over the weekend in Abuja by its executive director, Jeremiah Agala, said the Inspire Her Award, had nominees from various sectors carefully selected by a team of independent female leaders and entrepreneurs, to reflect the very best of inspiring ladies who have broken the glass ceilings.
The nominees, according to Agala, include Joy Franklyn, the Chief Executive Officer of JCKline Group, Halima Buba, MD/CEO SunTrust Bank, Umma Getso, YPP Vice Presidential Candidate, Hon. Nita George, Sole Administrator, Jaba local government area of Kaduna State among others.
Agala said the award is to celebrate women who have excelled in leadership and enterprise development, whose innovations are outstanding, dedication to their chosen career is rewarding; those excelling outside the box and whose patriotic zeal toward youths and grassroots developments are evident.
“Women are known to be nation builders, their contributions to humanity is second to none, they defend the cause of the downtrodden and they commit to our democratic values, processes and practice, these women should be celebrated for others to emulate.
“The conferment of award will be done at a highly anticipated Inspire Her Conference 2024. The conference is in commemoration of the International Women’s Day Celebration for 2024, it is scheduled for Thursday, April 18 at the Arete Place, Garki, Abuja at 10am.
“The conference is expected to attract over 500 women and leaders from across the country who will have opportunities to interface, network and leverage. The conference will have high profile speakers drawn from all sectors, they represent the very best of leaders in the country,” he said.
