The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Delta Command, secured the conviction of 31 traffic offenders during its Eid-el-Fitri Special Patrol Mobile Court on Sunday.
Mr. Uchenna Nnadika, Deputy Route Commander and Sector Public Education Officer, stated that the mobile court prosecuted 32 offenders for a total of 89 traffic violations, resulting in 31 convictions.
Two offenders were sentenced to seven days’ imprisonment, as the court reinforced the consequences for serious traffic violations.
“One driver was sentenced for dangerous driving, road obstruction, and obstruction of a Marshal on duty. A passenger was punished for contempt of court,” Nnadika noted.
Recorded offences included failure to install speed-limiting devices, tyre violations, overloading, driver’s licence breaches, number plate infractions, attempts to corrupt marshals, and seatbelt violations.
Nnadika emphasised that the FRSC Delta Command remains committed to strict enforcement of traffic laws and urged all motorists to comply for safer roads.
