Following their impressive outing at the 2024 Basketball Africa League where Rivers Hoopers finished third, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, announced a twenty-five million naira (N25,000,000) reward for members of the State’s Basketball Club.
Governor Fubara said this at a grand reception for the team held at the Rivers State Government House in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
The Governor hopes that this gesture will serve as a motivation for the KingsMen who finished third at the just concluded Basketball Africa League.
Rivers Hoopers defeated Cape Town Tigers of South Africa to finish third at this year’s BAL in Kigali, Rwanda.
