The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Christopher Musa, has advised the people of Southern Kaduna to work as a united and purposeful entity for the area’s development.

Musa made the call at the Southern Kaduna Solemn Assembly for Restoration held in Bara, Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

According to the chief of defence staff, unity among the people is necessary to attract development.
“We need to work together as brothers and sisters. God has a purpose for putting us here.

“It is for us to develop, not to destroy each other.

“We must learn to love one another for other people and also to love and respect us,” he said.
The defence chief enjoined Southern Kaduna youth to shun drugs and engage in productive ventures for a better future.

He attributed the relative peace in the area to the people’s cooperation and the government’s willingness to take action.

“We appreciate Mr President, Bola Tinubu, for what he has done for Southern Kaduna.
“We will continue to work in support of the government to ensure that our area is secure and continues to develop,” he added.

In a remark, Rev. Ma’aji Caleb, Kaduna State chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), observed that Southern Kaduna is blessed with sufficient human and material resources to prosper.
Therefore, Caleb urged the older generation to provide guidance and mentorship to the young people in the area.

In a sermon, Rev. Job Bagat, ECWA President, emphasised the place of prayers in achieving unity.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that highlights of the event included prayer and discussion sessions on security, economy, human rights and education, among others, as they affect Southern Kaduna people. (NAN)
