Gen. Mustapha Takes Over At Army Cyber Warfare Command As Gen. Osemwengie Hands Over

The Nigerian Army Cyber Warfare Command (NACWC), on Friday, witnessed a formal handing and taking-over ceremony as Major General Kennedy Osemwengie officially handed over command to Major General Emmanuel Soledayo Mustapha at the Headquarters Nigerian Army Cyber Warfare Command, Giri, Abuja.

In his farewell remarks, Major General Osemwengie expressed gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff, officers, soldiers, and civilian staff of the Command for their unwavering support and dedication throughout his tenure. He highlighted the Command’s achievements in strengthening the Nigerian Army’s cyber defence capabilities, enhancing operational readiness, and fostering strategic partnerships aimed at addressing emerging cyber threats.

The outgoing Commander urged personnel to remain committed to professionalism, innovation, and excellence in the discharge of their duties to sustain the gains recorded by the Command.

According to a statement signed by Lieutenant Adebowale David Adejimi, Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Nigerian Army Cyber Warfare Command, Abuja, taking over the mantle of leadership as the 9th Commander of NACWC, Major General Mustapha thanked the Chief of Army Staff for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to consolidate on the achievements of his predecessor. He emphasised the critical role of cyberspace in contemporary military operations and assured personnel of his commitment to strengthening the Command’s capacity to effectively protect and defend the Nigerian Army’s digital assets and interests.

He further called on officers, soldiers, and civilian staff of the Command to remain disciplined, dedicated, and united in advancing the Command’s mandate.
